Tuberculosis epidemiology in Oman

What it is

TB numbers for Oman are kept by the TB & ARI Section of the Department of Communicable Disease. Two things are counted: first, the TB incidence rate per 100,000; second, the TB case notifications for each year, which are split into Nationals and Non-Nationals. The incidence rate is followed from 1981 to 2015. Its scale runs from 0 to 100 per 100,000, and two lines are drawn on it: the first for Sputum Positive cases and the second for All cases, with end points reading Sputum Positive, 2.35 and All cases, 7.33. The second set of numbers is TB Case Notifications and Rate Nationals vs Non-Nationals, with the notified cases of each year shown for Nationals and for Non-Nationals together with the incidence rate per 100,000. It is drawn on two axes: the first, notified cases, on a scale from 0 to 300; the second, the rate, on a scale from 0.0 to 14.0. The title reads 2010-2016 while the years marked along the foot run from 2008 to 2016.
