Warning signs of primary immunodeficiency
What it is
These warning signs mark the child who should be worked up for an immunodeficiency:
- 4 or more ear infections
- 2 or more serious sinus infections
- Need for 2 or more months of antibiotics
- Failure to thrive
- Recurrent, deep skin or organ abscess
- Persistent thrush in the mouth, or fungal infection on skin
- Repeated invasive infections, for example 2 or more of pneumonia, septicemia, meningitis
- F/H of PI
