Amantadine adverse effects include livedo reticularis, peripheral edema, and orthostatic dysregulation, and its toxicity is written elsewhere as ataxia with livedo reticularis. Livedo reticularis is the side effect the question is usually built on: asked which anti-parkinson medication causes it, the answer is amantadine. It also appears among the toxins that prolong the QRS interval, alongside carbamazepine, chloroquine and the class IA antiarrhythmics.
