Postpartum maternal vitamin A and MMR in the Oman schedule
What it is
Two doses on the 2020 Child Immunization Schedule in the Sultanate of Oman are given to the mother, not to the child. They sit at the head of the same card that carries the vaccines for the child, above the table of ages, which is why they are easy to miss: a dose of Vit. 'A' for the mother after delivery, and one dose of MMR vaccine for mothers with no evidence of vaccination.
Maternal Vit. 'A'
Give mother Vit. 'A' 200,000 IU within 15 days after delivery. No group is named against it: the line gives the mother, the dose and the days, and nothing more.
