Trauma is one of the listed causes of haematuria, and it is listed in three places. Renal, where it sits with cyst, GN, renal cell carcinoma, stones, coagulopathy and congenital obstruction of the PUJ. Bladder, with cystitis, tumour and stones. Urethra, with stone, prostate CA and BPH. The shape of the blood clots tells which part is the source: discoid clots point to vesical causes, and worm like clots to a supra-vesical cause.
